First of all, don't make fun of the weather here, and don't say the weather is the same all the time here. Because it's not. In fact, it's two degrees colder today than yesterday.

"Good morning, Vietnam." What the heck is that supposed to mean?

I understand you're pretty funny as a dee-jay and, well, comedy is kind of a hobby of mine. Well, actually, it's a little more than just a hobby, Reader's Digest is considering publishing two of my jokes.

"... and if you DOOO! .... and if you DOOO!"

Also, I can't believe someone else actually remembers "Almost Summer."

    Sirs, Madames,

Fifty-seven? I'm starting to pack my bags.

My best was his turn as a cadet in a memorable episode of Columbo, the one filmed at The Citadel. He was a cider-hiding cadet, not the suspected perp, who leads the lieutenant around campus. I know in some of his credits (I'm pretty sure it's so in Columbo) he was listed as Bruce Kirby Jr. His father was a character actor himself and appeared as the cop helping Columbo investigate murders in a couple of episodes.

And G-father II as young Clemenza was his best I figure. When he's introducing Bobby Deniro to crime (nothing said, everything understood) was classic stuff.

    YHS, etc

That was one of my all-time favorite Columbos...

I just watched a Columbo where Bruno played a cadet at a military school, with his dad in the same episode as a cop.

His dad was Bruce Kirby, and in that episode (Dawn's Early Light, season 4), Bruno was credited as B. Kirby Jr. Sadly, his dad, who most recently among his recognzable roles played Matt Dillon's cancer-racked dad in Crash, outlived him.

Now, two of the great comic antagonists from Good Morning Vietnam have been taken... way too early.

    RIP

Edit... fotf toasted me on most of this by 80 minutes.

He truly was Richard Cohen's inspiration.

How about his stints on Larry Sanders as the guest who always gets bumped?

I remember reading that he and Billy Crystal had a falling out over something related to the first City Slickers, which is why he wasn't cast in the sequel.

He really dodged a bullet on that one, didn't he?

The angels are doing a polka for Mr. Kirby right now.

City Slickers II is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in a theater...

I had no idea Bruno was sick...

    RIP

    He chose his projects well.

I loved his recent turn in Entourage, and I'm glad he lived to see it air.

Was going to post this line, but I'll just second what Rummy's saying.

Didn't realize his dad was an actor, too.

    RIP, Young Clemenza
