    He made it over a five-year period as well. Even with banner ads, you'd think you can pull in more money than that.

    This is all quite absurd to me. Television broadcast rights will eventually be nullified and it will become a hits game with commercials covering the cost. It almost has to...

    Just over in England, a woman was taken to court because her bar was broadcasting EPL games using the Greek feed. The reasoning was that the cost was so high for the domestic feed that they had to go that route because it was the only way to show the games and stay in business.

    What the EPL rights holders were assuming was that they would win in court but that isn't what happened. The bar won.

    These television channels spend so much money obtaining the rights that they lose site of the fact that that they are bound to lose what they've paid for. The internet cannot be stopped.

    There was also the fact that she was showing games at 3 p.m. on Saturdays, when there are no live games on air in England. Of course, that would have been the defense; they were really after the money.
