Not the best ever. But among them.
Not the most famous. But among them.

I'll bet a bunch, though, that Palmer was the most popular golfer across several generations.

Among those who haven't gotten to this yet: CNN, New York Times, SB Nation.

Golf Channel is showing playoff golf from whatever the old man's tour is called. No crawl along the bottom with the news.

Been away all day traveling home from a wedding. Woke up to the Fernandez news, go to bed with this. Ahh, shitfuck. Greatness is more than stats and records. He had great stats and a great record, but there was that whatever it is that made people love him that made him great.

Nothing over AP yet, either. Guessing they are trying to confirm.

We're likely hoping against hope, but every story I've seen is citing the Golf Digest tweet as its source. How many times did Abe Vigoda die? Or Will Smith's spawn, Tommy Chong and Brad Pitt these past few weeks alone?

Year of the Dead Celebrity, or Year of the Offended College Student?

    Either way, fuck you.

I flipped over to SportsCenter, caught coverage of Miles being fired then Fernandez. Nothing on Palmer - not even on the crawl.

Was going to ask if anyone had checked with the Miami Marlins since they scooped the world on Ali, but they've got other things to worry about.
