    Not sure if my comment should be left to the politics thread, but Specter was of a moderate Republican breed that hardly even exists anymore. RIP.

    Seriously, I'm surprised he lasted this long. Seems like the man had been in poor health for years. RIP.

    Did not know both Arlen Specter and Robert Dole were from the same Kansas town. Thanks.

    Pretty small odds two such influencial men in American politics would hail from there.
