First time I remember seeing him in film was in Wolfen, a weird 1981 horror flick that used to air on HBO several times a day. He was great in Miller's Crossing and many other films. Five Oscar noms, but surprisingly no wins. Dude had gravitas. RIP

My favourite movie. "So it's clear what I'm saying?" "As... mud." And away we go. RIP.

I was watching "Erin Brokovich" in a hotel while on the road for work a few months ago and couldn't stop thinking about how great Albert Finney was in that movie.

The scene where he gives her the bonus is one of the great lessons in the power of tiny movements of an actor's facial muscles.

He was a terrific heel in "Two for the Road." Played Olivier's son in the "The Entertainer," one of the greatest, saddest movies ever made about show business.

Fantastic as the ruined Malcolm Lowry surrogate in "Under the Volcano." Maybe gives his best performance in "The Dresser."

    Remarkable actor.

I've always heard he did some of his best work in the very underappreciated "Shoot The Moon" - think I'm going to have to track that down. He was perfect in Bourne and Big Fish.

Asked for a reaction, his adopted daughter replied: "Leapin lizards!"

Of course, there was "Tom Jones."

But kudos to the mention of his role in "Erin Brockovich," not to mention "Skyfall."

RIP, good sir and Thank You.
