Former NHL star Rick Tocchet accused last year of running a multi-million dollar illegal sports betting ring, will appear in court for a hearing in the case Friday, the New Jersey state Attorney General's office announced.

A spokesman for Attorney General Stuart Rabner would not elaborate on the appearance, scheduled for 11 a.m. in Burlington County Superior Court.
    Your thoughts.

Even money that he's cleared of all charges.

Is Janet Jones Gretzky in the clear on this whole matter?

I don't think so. I'm more interested to see if they try to put all of the blame on Tocchet

Best bet (pardon the pun) is Tocchet cops a plea, gives up somebody above him in the ring, doesn't do jail time, gets probation and community service.
If I'm not mistaken, I think all they have on Janet Gretzky is that she placed bets with or through Tocchet .. illegal, yes, but not something the prosecutors care about unless they can use her to get to somebody else.

    I'd wager spnited's right.

But I'll hedge my bet and say it's possible Tocchet gets absolutely nailed to the wall.
