Chicago's WBBM NewsRadio is reporting former Cubs pitcher/ESPN game analyst has been diagnosed with colon cancer. He is going to be treated and return to covering games later in the summer, they were reporting.

    Get. The. Colonoscopy.

    Please.

Colon cancer is slow to grow, but if it grows too long, you will die from it. Catch it early, you can get rid of it.

Hope Rick is in the early stages and comes back fast.

That's how my mom's father died. Old-time farmer who just grinded his teeth thru the pain. finally went to the doctor in June '81, was gone in August.

Now mom goes for a colonoscopy every year, and I imagine regular checkups await me down the road.

I echo 21's thoughts and hope Rick had it detected early.

Had the colonoscophy and that other (prostate) three years ago ... never too soon ... and found a new drug (verced).
Going back to have em again in a couple of months.

I'm not the one being rated.

The key to a long life is a healthy colon.

I remember several years ago, Eric Davis was diagnosed with colon cancer.
    Any idea how he's doing?
