Apparently calling John Stewart a bigot and then skirting the bounds of anti-Semitism isn't a smart career move.

They don't wish him well. They should be honest and say, "We thank Rick for his years of service and in advance for not letting the door hit his ass on the way out."

Love that it was something stupid he said on radio and not the 10,000 stupid things he said on CNN.

Why is a Rick Sanchez thread on the J-board?

I really wish that instead of "we wish him well" the release just said "mazel tov."

There was much rejoicing in my newsroom when the firing was announced. It's schadenfreude on the level of the Mariotti arrest.

Skirting the bounds of anti-Semitism!?! I think he did more than that.

Good riddance. I'm sure Fox News has an anchor desk waiting.

About the only downside of this is less "Daily Show" and "Colbert" material.

I'm eagerly anticipating a Sanchez-related moment of zen next week.
