    Jesus. That's the best anyone has? I don't give a squat about Rick Perry - but the name was changed before he hunted there? And someone forgot to remove a rock? And that somehow reflects on Perry?

    Good lord it is going to be a long 13 months.

    Speaking of which, we've been a little more lenient on politics lately because we realize it is kind of a big deal. And a few members have gone off the rails (and gone bye-bye for a while). Police yourselves, please, or we'll shut it all down again. Which we don't want to do because, contrary to popular opinion, we are not assholes.

    That has nothing to do with this particular thread. Just thought I'd throw it out there here. Oh, and the penalties for those who fuck up political threads with their bullshit (and bullshit is in the eye of the moderators) will face more severe action (maybe including flogging) than on other threads. We're trying. Help us help you. DON'T BE AN ASSHOLE.

    That was kind of my initial impulse, too.

    And, yes politics threads seem pretty tame. At least compared to family picture threads.

    As an aside - back in 1983 when the Perry family leased the hunting camp - Rick Perry was a Democrat.

    Doubt that will be mentioned much.

    PS - I think this is a non-story but it is the non-stories that seem to stick in politics. George H. W. Bush and the bar code reader (guy was head of the CIA and he knew bar codes - he was just interested in the amount of info the system was collecting) or Al Gore creating the Internet

    It won't cause a stir. And won't have to since his stance on educating the children of illegals already has the right wing wolves at his door.

    It probably only Perry looks even better in the eyes of his flock. The people who get offended by the N-word would never vote for him anyway.
    Good strategy by Cain to call him out, though - gets him moderate votes without having to change positions.
