Brilliant! This is exactly what Michigan fans want to hear from their coach heading into their biggest rivalry game. A chance to save some face by beating tOSU in a lost season. He, a rich football coach, is telling people to worry about the economy instead of Michigan/OSU.

Complete idiot. Does he not understand that football is a release for people who worry about the economy every other minute of their lives? Especially in Michigan?

Michigan boosters must roll over in bed every morning, look at what they married, and wonder if the divorce lawyer is busy today.

Yeah, look at the economy, especially when the state university has to spend a few million on its asshole coach's buyout from his old school.

This guy might be a bigger douche than Saban and Weis.

  4. I understand his frustration with how looney people get about college football.

That being said, he is being paid millions and millions of dollars to do a job.

Minimizing the importance of said job just doesn't seem like a very smart move.

If it is such a SMALL deal, than let's pay him like a McDonald's worker.

Has a coaching move ever torpedoed two programs at once?

Seriously, these are two top-10 programs who will fight to stay in the top 25.

Unless they can rebound, watch Ohio State just rule recruiting in Western PA and upper Ohio. I would think Michigan State should be in for some great recruiting classes as well.

Certainly in the same pompous category.... the other two have a longer track record.

Is there any chance Rodriguez gets canned? Michigan fans are passionate, but they're not going to run the guy off this quickly will they?

    I doubt it.

You would lose an entire recruiting class.

Only one is a legitimate - figurative - heavyweight in the profession.

Perhaps... but the Napoleon complex of the other is just as large
