Rhoden skips Wimbledown, writes anyway

Please note that there's absolutely no evidence Rhoden did anything of the sort, nor any reason to believe he did. I'm not saying otherwise.

I'm just wondering if that's a possible explanation for what I see as the odd scenario I outlined in my first post.

Or his wife's party. I don't know about you, but we leave when she says so. Rock concerts, postseason baseball games, etc.

I think Rhoden was worried about his street cred if he was seen at a tennis event not involving the Williams sisters. :D

So do amateur observers like me. Waste of $12.95.

Even my 20 & 22 year old sons thought it was crapola.

There weren't two major critics bearing quotes strong enough to use in ads.
    That's usually a solid tipoff.

When the money's big enough, shit happens.

I don't know the whole situation with vacation or whatever, but I do agree he should have left out the Hancock mention. You skip a Wimbledon final to go see something you can see anytime, anyplace? Lie and tell us you skipped out to go meet with royalty or something.

What was Will Smith's last good performance/movie? Independence Day?

Not sure about the "compelled to stay for the duration" part. That's between you and your boss, I suppose -- there may be some bosses who are OK with staffers leaving events before they're over. I'm more uncomfortable with the "other ethical concerns" part. Anyone getting a credential to a major event when they're really on vacation, with no intention of writing (until, golly, something extraordinary happens), that person is way out of line.

But then, the ME at our place did that. More than once.

Come on, am I the only one who liked Hancock? Anyone? Anyone?
