Retired Ventura County sherriff suing for all his pension benefits

    The State of California is trying to stiff the guy out of all his pension. He's only getting $238,000 a year in pension, and he says he's entitled to another $75,000 a year.

    I guess you want innocent people to die. If we do not treat these servants fairly, innocent people will die.

    He gets more because of all those years of people asking him, "Hey, what's with the extra 'r'?"

    That being said, cutting someone's pension after they've retired is evil. This guy doesn't deserve any pity but for the majority of cases, what's a retired janitor going to do? Invent a time machine and go back to 1965 to warn his younger self?

    Maybe the OUTRAGE should be directed at the people who made the rules, not those living within them, however ridiculous they are.
