    I was hoping that was the case. The ease of throwing together a resume in this industry - in which the thing is incredibly self-explanatory - is one of the best parts of a job hunt.

    Ain't that the truth. Now that so much of the job search process is automated and the computers are programmed to look for "key" words, we have to do with our resumes precisely the opposite of what we're supposed to do with our good, clean journalism copy: Load it up with extra, pretentious stuff. In hopes that some machine won't eliminate us because we tried to stick with clear and concise.
