Is an orange shirt ever appropriate, school colors or not?
I'm betting GQ's Style Guy would say no.

Is it ever appropriate to wear any type of cap to cover a game, unless there is no press box?
I'm going to bet GQ's style guy would say no.

I know a writer that wears a hat at least a few times a week featuring the team he covers. And a polo shirt every now and then with the team's logo. Fannnnntastic!

I was thinking exactly the same thing. The title of the thread is an embarrassment.

If it apparently wasn't so widespread, I'd say we know the same guy.

Last year on Memorial Day I had to cover a softball game. Local Podunk High at Southeast Bumfuck in a regional, district, sectional, whatever playoff. I've never seen Southeast Bumfuck or heard of it until the Friday before. However, according one set of parents, who looks for any reason to see me pulling against their team, I must have been pulling for SEBHS, because I was wearing their colors. Yep, I drove halfway across the state on Memorial Day, a paid holiday, just to wear the red, white and blue colors of Southeast Bumfuck.

Making the most out of the Memorial-Labor only rule on the white.

Blue pants and a red, white and blue Tommy Hilfiger shirt.

This year I'm going black shorts and a white shirt.

Someone with good Photoshop skills should create a Captain Podunk: The Official Fan-Boy Looser of the SJ Nation.
