Reporters fired for criticizing newspaper owner

    The owner is a Democratic member of the state House of Delegates and minority leader. The interview was with a convicted former mine owner who once described himself as “Trumpier than Trump.”

    Seems like a really unfortunate situation there.

    But…

    If I were to rip my employer on Twitter I would fully expect to get fired. Hell, I don’t even criticize my employer anonymously on this board.

    I wouldn't even mention my employer in casual conversation. Nothing to be gained by discussing work on social media or in other places.

    Absolutely. I still tiptoe around the NDA I signed when I left. I'm not going to take the chance of ripping them and have them go after my pension.
