Reporter opening in Houston

Former sportswriter here who recently made the transition to editor of a weekly paper in Houston called The Leader. We have an immediate opening for a full-time reporter.

It's not a sports job, but telling sports stories will be part of it. And the person who's leaving is taking a sportswriting job. You could say the paper has an affinity for sportswriters, because the publisher started out as one as well.

So if you're looking to branch out into news like I was, this job might be for you. We cover the area northwest of downtown that includes the Heights, which is hip, happening and historic. It's also growing exponentially from a residential and commercial standpoint, so there are lots of great stories to be told and lots of fun to be had.
