Experienced reporter available to cover NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 20 on Staples Center in Los Angeles. I could also cover the Rookie Challenge and/or the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
I live within an hour's drive of Staples Center.
Among other stories I've covered, the most recent being a St. John's at UCLA men's basketball story for Newsday, I have covered the Los Angeles Kings' season opener for NHL.com back in 2009. I have also covered a few games for University of Arizona men's basketball, football and softball, and an Arizona Cardinals game.
I have six years' full-time experience, eight years overall, working as a Sports Reporter with The Signal in Santa Clarita, Calif., The Sierra Vista Herald/Bisbee Daily Review in Sierra Vista, Ariz., and The Porterville Recorder in Porterville, Calif.
I am currently a stringer with The Orange County Register and with Patch.com covering south Orange County high schools.
Bob Rohwer, the Sports Editor I work with at Patch.com, was the former Preps Editor at The Los Angeles Times.

If hired, I would need help with securing press credentials.
