The World Bank is expanding its probe into Wolfowitz' actions:

More info about Wolfowitz, including the modifications he had made to his World Bank contract and the distaste upper-level Bank personnel feel towards the 2 henchmen Wolfowitz brought with him to the WB:

The only person who might feel slightly less secure in his job today than Wolfowitz is Alberto Gonzales.

A 7-member subcommittee of the WB's exec. board has been formed to advance the investigation/recommendations of the larger 24-member exec. board, regarding the Wolfowitz scandal:

Wolfowitz has retained the services of a prominent attorney in his fight to keep his job. So, does this mean he's not as eager to follow the recommendations of the World Bank executive committee as he said at first? Hmmm...

    Update:

Wolfowitz has been asked to resign by an 'agency that oversees the World Bank.'

    http://www.rawstory.com/showarticle.php?src=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.upi.com%2FNewsTrack%2FTop_News%2F2007%2F04%2F23%2Fwolfowitz_asked_to_resign_from_world_bank%2F

The article also mentions that 42 former WB executives signed on to a recently-published open letter seeking Wolfowitz' resignation.

Wolfowitz - in a move seemingly aimed at deflecting attention away from his potential resignation - said he will alter his management style, but he will also continue on as president of the WB:

W -- leading the league in backing incompetents who refuse to resign against all odds -- apparently because they don't like flipping burgers or greeting wal-mart customers

(apologies to mcdonald's and wal-mart employees)

The latest, including that Wolfowitz is claiming that the WB board is treating him poorly and that he needs additional time to prepare explanations to rebut the favoritism and other charges hanging over him:

I love the fact that you're dogging this story. (I'll stay on the US Attorneys thing.) Are you a member of the WB board that we're not aware of?
