I am enjoying that ESPN's bottom line reads "ESPN's Ed Werder reports...."

Yes, because he broke this story. Idiots.

So TO isn't starting at quarterback for Arizona on Sunday?

Oh, what a hero he's set himself up to be this time. Broken finger. Adverse reaction to medication. Pronounced dead in a Dallas hospital. Claws way out of casket, gets to Philly, catches 2 TD passes, holds out for $4 billion, one-year deal.

    This is second-hand, at best:

"WFAA channel 8 and KTCK 1310 here in Dallas just broke the news that T.O. took 35 pain pills last night in an attempt to commit suicide. The source is the Dallas Police Report of the incident, obtained this morning by the media. According to the police report, Dallas fire/rescue responded to a suicide attempt call late last night. When interviewed later in the hospital and asked if he was trying to harm himself, T.O. responded "yes." He evidently took the rest of the bottle of a 40-pill prescription...he had only taken five of them before last night."

Doesn't surprise me. Usually cocky, swash-buckling types like TO have a lot going on under the surface that no one ever hears about.

Hope the dude gets the help he needs, finally.

    Wow.

Just heard him on Le Batard's show a few days ago.... and he was very ... different.

Can't specify, but he was much more gregarious than I have ever heard him on the show.

WFAA is notorious for running with stuff about the Cowboys that's not true (see Marty Griffin costing them millions after he blew the Erik Williams/Michael Irvin story). I'll wait for someone else to confirm.

Perhaps they should worry about the Phillies choking against the Nats.
