That's a pretty massive fuck-up on somebody's part if they got the names mixed up. Either one of these guys going into the hospital for a possible drug OD would be big news in Dallas.

Is Baylor Dallas the "cowboy" hospital?

That's a good question, the Tom Landry Center is there.

DALLAS (AP) — Terrell Owens was taken to the emergency room for an undisclosed reason Tuesday night, and doctors treating the Dallas Cowboys receiver were trying to induce vomiting, according to a television report.
Owens was brought by a fire rescue crew to Baylor Medical Center, Dallas-Fort Worth television station KTVT reported, citing sources the television station did not identify. A reporter for the station later said she saw Owens being wheeled down the hall.
Calls from The Associated Press to Owens’ agent, his publicist and the Cowboys were not immediately returned Tuesday night. The hospital told the AP that they do not have a patient registered by Owens’ name.
KTVT said a Dallas police spokesperson was en route to the hospital to talk about a “high profile case.”

(CBS 11 News) DALLAS CBS 11 News has learned that Dallas Cowboys wide receiver has been taken to Baylor Medical Center. It's said that the player is being treated for some unknown problem that required emergency room treatment.

Sources tell CBS 11 News that Owens was taken to Baylor Hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue and that emergency room doctors attempted to induce vomiting.

As of 11 p.m. Baylor Hospital officials denied that Owens was getting emergency room treatment, but CBS 11 Sports Reporter Gina Miller confirmed that Owens was indeed at the hospital. Dallas Fire Rescue would not comment on any call it made to Owens home.

Two weeks ago Owens broke his hand during a football game against the Washington Redskins. It is unclear if his treatment Tuesday night is in anyway related to that.

CBS 11 News and Sports crews are monitoring the situation and will continue to update information.

To answer the question about Baylor, I believe it's the "official" hospital for all the Dallas sports teams. I know the Stars, Mavs and Cowboys all use it as their preferred provider.

It's probably the "nicest" of the hospitals in Dallas in my experience, definitely the most pricey. Parkland's got the best trauma unit but can be a zoo, and Medical City is good for bread and butter stuff, but doesn't have the reputation of Baylor.

My guess is he called the trainer and the trainer helped arrange an ambulance to take him there. It doesn't sound like he was in immediate danger of dying from driving the extra 10 minutes to Baylor, especially if they have a private ambulance company on call like a lot of the big companies do.

I know the Stars have directed urgent cases to Baylor when it wasn't the closest hospital. When Guerin had the compartment syndrome scare and was in danger of losing his leg without some quick surgery, they took him to Baylor rather than Presbyterian, which is much closer to HP where he lived.
