So someone could lip synch to recorded music, as the featured kid did in the Opening Ceremony?

Hey, as long as there's a great light show and some smoke and fireworks, you'll be happy.

Excellent suggestions. But do you really think Vedder could summons "Super Bowl" excitement?

The Chili Peppers, though ... that would be fucking sweet.

Yeah, the Super Bowl has never had a lip synch'er before.

I don't need singers. Just some of that fantastic stuff they threw out for the opening ceremonies.

BTW, only a matter of time before Miley is doing the halftime show.

I've always wondered what it'll be like to hear Pay Me My Mullet Down sung in front of an audience of one billion people.

another act catered to the 40+ crowd... so i'll definitely be going to get a couple of drinks during halftime

Springsteen is a good choice for a Super Bowl show and I agree with others here that Prince was solid in his performance.

The last two have been good. McCartney was OK. Timberlake and Jackson were awful. Wasn't Shania Twain the year before. I was disappointed the year Sting did it.

I wish they could get U2 to do it every year.

Would The Police ever be considered?
