Bingo. Maybe he'll do a better job with the Browns, since he got his first taste of on the job training with the Jets.

Sutton, and his piss poor schemes, made Seneca Wallace look like the second coming of Sammy Baugh that game.

That coaching staff was so inept. Good riddance.

Listen, 30+ years of pent up Jets frustration tends to make one look at the team as if they're family. Only family can love foolishness for so long....

Well, the bar is set pretty low. Five wins counts as an improvement, which should be doable given a last-place schedule and, presumably, a healthy Brady Quinn. Eight wins would have IJAG and other fans doing cartwheels.

I would, however, get rid of Kellen Winslow, Jr. That guy is a cancer with less than half the talent of say, Terrell Owens.

Why is he a cancer? I agree that he's been a bit of a distraction, but honestly, your statement is bullshit. The incident this year was the complete fault of the organization and he showed much better restraint than you're giving him credit for. Winslow was great last year, and will always do pretty well with a competent offense around him.

A poor record doesn't mean much at all when it comes to scheduling...almost all of the matchups are determined years in advance. That, in part, is why the NFL is so unpredictable from year to year...because a good team can draw a crap schedule and a bad team can draw an all-time gauntlet.

Any sport would kill for the NFL's level of year-to-year unpredictability, and the way they set the schedulhas a lot to do with it.

As for Mangini...why not just hire someone like Dick Jauron? At least then you get a nice guy who the players like while you continue to miss the playoffs.
