    No surprise to me.
I had been telling my wife all winter, they don't make the tourney this season, that's 2 years in a row, the baggage is too much and the university gently nudges her out.

No truth to the rumor that she and Pokey Chatman are going to work together on a WNBA staff.

I'm stunned it took this long...

A good coach, but a disgrace to the profession...

Great career, although not as of late, but it's a damn shame she let these other issues get in the way. Anyone have an idea of who might have an inside track as her replacement?

I'm sure that Penn State, like Texas and LSU, will make a run at Gail Goestenkors, but I can't see her leaving Duke.

JoePa is an asshole, but very few people outside our profession know that. We can thank ESPN for that one...

It's kind of a similar deal with Coach K who people think is a saint because of Vitale and the rest of the treatment he gets...

Assholes or not, both JoePa and Coach K are credit to their profession...

Portland's rampant homophobia will prevent her from ever being that.

Paterno coached a long time at Penn State before the creation of ESPN. Was he not an asshole then? If he was, you have to blame more than ESPN, I should think.
