    He used to have a really full beard, like unusually full. ESPN made him shave it. That might be it.

    With ESPN's emphasis on contracts/free agents/potential trades/gossip, it pays (literally and figuratively) for those guys to parrot agents. They're not necessarily trying to report the "truth," just what "sources say."

    It pays except when you can't or won't say anything negative about anybody because you don't want to piss off a potential source. Or when you overhype some nobody just because their agent says he should be getting a $4 million deal but hasn't yet.

    at this point, agents need mort/lenny p. more than vice versa. all agent whores -- sorry for the repetition -- want a direct line to espn. a sad reality. players love having their agents having that connection with the worldwide leader.
