Reid: Gundy's rant ruined my life

Perhaps not a national story, but if you get that story, you run it. Particularly if you're ESPN, and calling yourself the worldwide leader, a tag that would suggest comprehensive coverage. If you're an assignment editor, you have to think outside the tri-state box occasionally, even frequently. This story was fine for supporting the comprehensive coverage tag. If it had first appeared in the NYT, I seriously would have questioned whether it was serving its readers' interests. But ESPN, for all the abuse (much of it deserved) we heap on it, should be expected to do this kind of story. And it delivered.

 

I definitely am not drinking the Mike Gundy Kool Aid after this.

 

He don't have kool aid. Red Bull, man. Weren't you paying attention? ;D

 

You can assume whatever you want to. And I admit, I don't like Carlson's style in the Reid story or the Kelly piece.

I haven't posted on here since I was in J-School several months back looking for work. I forgot my password and user name so I decided to start a new one.

 

I'll bet visor sales went through the roof after the rant

I don't like Carlson's writing either. I think The Oklahoman needs to let Berry Tramel write more often and she take a break once and a while. She comes across as arrogant and a know it all.

 

Some who know her say that's exactly what she is.
