This is no different than players getting fined by the NFL for something like helmet-to-helmet contact when game officials didn't throw a flag. Sometimes, the NFL needs to step in after the fact and remind officials what needs to be flagged the moment it happens on the field.

Ted Ginn was injured by a teammate who was celebrating the TD.

A great point, Oz. I forgot there was no flag initially.

Oh, yeah, and the L.A. homers on Fox Sports Radio are 'poo-pooing' the fine. Led by John Fricke and Chris Landry.

Yes I know - it was still an injury caused by end zone celebration. Proof of no real upside to any kind.

There's a guy who does a backflip in the UFC every time he wins (George St. Pierre), and I swear he's going to break his freaking neck one of these times. Gotta be careful. :)

5,000 bucks? Hell, he made more than that in one week at USC. Look out Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo.

Here's an idea for Ol' Reg: Act like you've been there before and you'll be there again.

It was a punk's trifecta; pointing at Urlacher, the somersault dive into the endzone and finishing with an Irish jig. He's lucky someone on the Bears didn't lay his ass out. And they should have.
