So I'm thinking about moving on from my current job and wondering what to do when I have to provide references for new job applications. Does it look bad to potential employers if I don't include a reference from my current shop? My experience there has been good, but I haven't been there real long and don't know how comfortable I feel broadcasting my intentions to leave to my bosses. For anyone who has had to deal with this kind of issue, what do you think? Thanks.

  2. I can't imagine many people list their current employer as a reference, and I never have. I think using a couple references from a previous job and highlighting you successes at our current position would be fine.

Also, your D.E.N.N.I.S. system changed my life.
