    Had another Facebook friend die this week and I got to thinking about that and members here who have passed. SF, spnited, editorhoo - any others? For all our skirmishes and squabbles, we pull together pretty well when we need to do so.

    So far, spnited's account is still there. He is among the "notable members," which is based on post count. He is just ahead of Moddy, to be exact.

    I miss him as well. A true pioneer of SJ.com. Suffered no fools and apologized to
    no one. Whenever 21 and I find ourselves at an Italian restaurant. it never
    fails that one of us brings up Spnited referring to us as Brenda
    and Eddy and we toast the ole caustic bastard.

    Had my differences with the man early on but we persevered
    and found common ground with the NBA of the early 70's
    and college basketball at "The Gaaaarden".
