Well, ESPN has now pulled USC as its main item and put Auerbach there. I think the significance of Auerbach is lost on the younger generation of NBA fans (all 10 of them).

When an enemy dies, Angola, part of yourself dies as well.
That was my typographically errrored point meant.

    Lighten up.
    Seriously.
I'm not glad he's dead. Save me the self-righteous indignation horse----.

I don't think he needs to lighten up, you just needed to come up with a better joke.

Bummer. I never liked the Celtics but loved the Lakers, which put me in the distinct minority in New England in the mid-80s, but Memorial Day always conjures up memories of the sweltering Celtics-Lakers games at the Gahhden. But you gotta love the guy's competitiveness.

And Red was the Celtics. I wonder if we'll ever see a person who so symbolizes a franchise for so long ever again. RIP.

Actually, we wound up with it on our Page 6.

It was pointed out to me that the below-35 crowd really doesn't have any connect with Red.

I wish we would throw it on our A1. Reacted to Red's death, and the slot was like, "Who's that?"

And by the way, Wilkens passing Red on the wins list was bullshit. Bastard took twice as long to get within sniffing distance.

This business sure isn't hurting for a-holes, is it?
I think it's funny. It got a laugh from my co-workers.
The rest of you can think what you want.
