Really weird Firefox message

Getting a really weird message each time I go to a specific page, and I have no idea what it is or what to do about it.

Let's say I search for something on Google. For example, a Dewalt circular saw.

When I click on the "shopping" link at the top of the Google search page, I get the following message: "(function(){})();(function(){})();"

I've searched online, but can't find anything.

WTF?

 

That's a line of code and without actually seeing the page, I'm going to guess that it's a programming error on the Google side. (I could be wrong, but with the info at hand, that's my guess.)

 

When I click the shopping link, it goes to a blank, white page displaying that code in the upper left corner.

 

Yup, someone messed up coding the page. It's not your browser.

 

I get this at the top of a page I often visit:

","channel":"Pwr_728_1Dollar"} //]]>-->

I assumed they were trying to insert a spot for a banner ad and just mistyped something.

 

I used to get a message from Firefox saying, "Use Google Chrome; it's way better."

 

I like Firefox, but complications led me to Google Chrome, and now I like Chrome more. No complications yet.

 

Downloaded Chrome and am liking it, so far.
