    Destiny Hope Cyrus?

Who names their kid Destiny Hope? Was he hoping she'd be a stripper?

I understand Destiny, but if you've got Destiny, why do you need Hope?

He says he asked his dad why he was named after him, and his dad said "After who?"

His dad, of course, was a comedian who went by Parkyakarkus.

Confession: Spike Chiquet is not my real name.
I did use my middle name and grandma's maiden name for 6 months in radio when we switched from classic rock to Top 40 (forced upon me by management)
So the same voice on the afternoons went from Spike Chiquet on a Friday to Scott Lockhart on the following Monday.

Radio - especially the traffic reporters who give reports to several stations - have it really rough. They'll identify themselves as Stacy Case on one station, the next they are Stacey Lee, Casey Stack or whatever. Sometimes you'll hear them give the wrong name "This is Stacy Smith, uh, Stacy Williams with your traffic..." I always wondered if they picked a new last name based on the station they were supposed to be reporting for (Joe Grassi or Fields for a sports station, Joe Gabby for a talk station, Joe Thump for an Hip-hop station, Joe Merican for a country station).

AKA Bob Einstein, AKA Marty Funkhauser from "Curb Your Enthusiasm"

Hal Linden (who played Barney Miller on TV) was born with the name Harold Lipshitz. Yeah, I'd change that, too ...

In a semi-related story, Adam Carolla's parents did not give him a middle name. But when he registered for a driver's license as a teenager, the California DMV demanded that he write something in the "middle name" blank. So he put down "Lakers." His driver's license reads "Adam Lakers Carolla" ...
