Reaction to a story being yanked

    Ringer is right about Ace being right.

    I'm in the magazine biz. If it was published anywhere under the company's umbrella (print, online, TV, town crier) -- and you can prove it -- you should be able to collect your full fee, whether through insistence or small-claims court.

    By the way, if your contract (you did sign one, right?) doesn't specify a kill fee, legally you'd be entitled to the full fee since you delivered what was contracted. Whether they publish it or not is a different matter.
