I had the same view you had. I wasn't there and neither were you.

If protecting Lewis was the goal, then the knives weren't needed. Lewis had 10 friends with him vs. those two.

I just turned on the Dan Patrick Show on NBCSN. They were talking about a possible poll question and Patrick said "Lewis ... I really don't want to revisit what happened in Atlanta."

There's always a place in the circus for a knife thrower

ESPN has reportedly offered Lewis a deal to be on the NFL pregame show.

Patrick also mentioned that he heard ESPN is "cleaning house" on its pre-game show.

Surprised there hasn't been more turnover on the pre-game shows. Fox and CBS's analysts have been intact seemingly forever. Outside of Strahan, CBS's most recent former "jock" is Jimmy Johnson who retired in 1999. CBS with Sterling Sharpe (2003), ESPN Keyshawn Johnson (2006)

Apparently, Lewis is going to be on the Monday Night Countdown show. And maybe a few Sunday morning broadcasts depending on travel.

Hell, I might actually watch First Take if its Ray Lewis vs. Skip Bayless.

Of course, you don't have to hold the knife to be guilty of murder.

I know if you set out to commit a crime together -- say rob a convenience store -- and someone you're with kills someone, you can be found guilty of murder.

But, can you in some sort of spontaneous altercation?
