Rate the kickball play

Two plays coming out of two different national kickball tournament games in recent weeks:

a) Player does a somersault over the ball at home to avoid a peg and score the game-winning run (play starts at 0:43):

b) Female outfielder makes a sliding kick to pop a liner up to a teammate for the out.

I'll go with A, although I should point out that play B happened in a tournament final while the other play was in - I think - a quarterfinal game.

 

I vote for A. But basically because B looked too much like soccer to be considered a good kickball play.

But then again, I don't know much about kickball.

 

Play A was amazing, and he was almost out.

Given that the odds were about even the players were inebriated -- at least based on the kickball culture to which I've been exposed -- I'm amazed either play was made.

 

On the downside, they were playing kickball. Tournament kickball.

 

Not those teams. They take it serious.

WHY AREN'T YOU COVERING IT!?!

 

There's some pretty darn good tournament kickball being played out there.

I vote for A.

 

I couldn't tell if the guy was out in A. And besides, the player in B is better looking. So I vote for B.

But really? they're taping kickball? Is this considered game tape for future scouting? Do they all get together and watch these again? I've never understood why people record shit like this and beer league slopitch.

 

You're costing them kickball scholarships, dammit!
