Rare nice thing to say about ESPN

    Baseball Tonight.

In its non-20-minute version, it's almost always a joy to watch. Balances the flashy highlights with good information and usually gives a decent context to a game.

The one show ESPN has never succeeded in fucking up. I likey.

Second that. There's no nonsense to it. I hope they never change that.

It's gotta be because it's on so late, and they don't put any of their big shots on there. Karl Ravech is pretty far down the food chain at the Leader, but he absolutely kicks ass.

Good thread, Bubbler, and I concur.

It hasn't been for lack of trying, but they cannot fuck up this show.

Ravech, Kurkjian and Kruker. Getting it done. Good highlights, good info, and attention paid to defense. Up there with OTL as the best things the leader does.

If anybody on here works on the show or knows someone who does, please pass along the compliment.

    Has this been discussed anywhere?

I swear I saw Kenny Mayne co-hosting SportsCenter with DJ Stuey last night. Was I hallucinating? I thought Mayne was on permanent shit-detail at the WWL for the lazy-eye joke.

He's been doing Sundays for a couple of weeks now.

I actually find myself agreeing. I've never thought about it, but I do watch Baseball Tonight a lot.

Now if it can bring back NHL Tonight.

Baseball Tonight and the college football version of Gameday are the only two things ESPN does right. Yet they're still trying to fuck both of them up by cutting BB2N to 20 minute here and there and by adding clowns like Desmond Howard to GD.

Baseball Tonight needs to be 60 minutes every night. We don't need NFL Tonight in fucking April.

So, who's going to tell the lazy-eye joke?
