The man is being sentenced soon.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A former University of Virginia student who was prosecuted for a 1984 sexual assault faces sentencing tomorrow.

William Beebe sent the victim a letter of apology in 2005 as part of a 12-step Alcoholics Anonymous program - a move that prompted his prosecution.

Prosecutors are asking for two years behind bars.

The 42-year-old Beebe admitted attacking fellow student Liz Seccuro at a U-V-A fraternity party.

Seccuro is now 40, and lives in Connecticut.

She says she was given a drink that made her feel strange, and she passed out, leaving her memory hazy in places. She said she vividly recalls being attacked by Beebe, but the case was not prosecuted at the time.

That's the AP Broadcast version. Someone with the print version might see when he's actually being sentenced. ::)

This would be a tough case for a judge. The guy seems to show remorse and doesn't seem to have committed other crimes. But that doesn't excuse what he did. I don't know how I'd handle it. It should be an interesting outcome.

It's good that he's being sentenced. But only two years? I wouldn't lock him for a long time, but two years just doesn't seem enough.

A two-year sentence for a pussy rape artist might not seem like much but trust me, it will be a time he will NEVER FORGET!!!
