Randomness: The first lawn mowing project of the year

I probably didn't mow for the entire month of January, but since then it's a regular project every seven days; sometimes I might make it 10 days between cuts if it's dry. I've got this to look forward to until Thanksgiving. But to spice it up, I'll write cryptic notes into my mowing patterns to enlighten departing airline passengers.

(in case you can't tell, yardwork isn't a real priority for me.)

Even though it's a cool, partly cloudy day, I'm still working up a sweat attacking all the weeds, which I will have to go back and pull up by hand once I'm done mowing.

Hmmm....gotta think about that one. The girlfriend doesn't think I'll do it.

I did not do that. Nor did I empty the gas tank before I put it away.

This past weekend, I went to start it and. . .nope. It turns over for a bout 5 seconds and then conks out.

Anyone have any advice?

If I drain the gas and let it sit for a few days will that fix it?

Only if you put some new gas in.

Yeah -- if you drain it and refill it with new gas you should be OK. At least I hope so because I neglected to drain the gas in both my leaf blower and chain saw before the winter and that's what I intend to do with them ... When I get around to it.

Depending on how much old gas is in the tank, you might be able to top it off with new gas. Let it mix for a few minutes and it should run.

Could have some carbuerator (sp?) damage, as well as a bad spark plug.
