Save a place for the '83 Brewers.

    Jerry Augustine
    Don Money
    Randy Ready
    Bob Skube
    Tom Candiotti
    Moose Haas
    Pete Vuckovich

That was a great group of players, Simmons behind the plate, Cooper at 1st, Jim Ganter and Yount up the middle, Paul Molitor at third, Ogilvie in left.

My friend was one of their top prospects. Then they drafted Yount. My friend learned to play outfield so he could be a utility guy. Reached Triple-A before it ended for him.

It's funny, but when the word "random" comes to mind Brewers and players for the Bucks on the '70s hoops thread always come to mind. Not bad enough or great enough to be truly memorable. Packers players? Favre, Rodgers, Reggie White? Lombardi et. all. Legends. Milwaukee teams though, never feared, never mocked.

A columnist circa 1988 did a funny piece using Ready, Mike Dunne and Jim Gott in a who’s on first type routine between an ump, Jim Leyland and Larry Bowa.
