When Jud Heathcote was asked if he’d ever seen anyone like Magic Johnson he said Micheal Ray Richardson, who he coached at Montana.
“Micheal Ray can do everything Magic can do, but he’s 6-4 and Magic is 6-9.”

Oh, and since 1979-80 was his rookie season, Earvin “Magic” Johnson

Bob Kauffman. He was always noted as being from "tiny Guilford College." He had three straight double-double seasons. Then was out of the league at age 28. My team was the Buffalo Braves and I remember Dayton Don May, Emmett Bryant, John Hummer, Herm Gilliam, Dick Garrett, Bill Hosket, Cornell Warner ... they even had Mike Silliman, maybe the last guy from Army to make the NBA. Essentially a team full of expansion stiffs.
