At the risk of jinxing Moddy's boys (it is Moddy who likes the Nats, right?), Ramon Ortiz is looking pretty good through 7 today against St. Louis.

We're three outs away. Ortiz has only thrown 88 pitches.

If you're Alfonso Soriano, how do you pop out after that?

So when is the 4-letter network going to interrupt the Contender so they can bring us the...

    NO-HITTER?

Add: Apparently the Nats are still batting. Still bot 8.

And also marveling at the words "Contender" and "Nats" in the same post. :D

Nats tag on two more runs in the eighth, so we head to the ninth with Ramon Ortiz going for the

    NO-HITTER

And yes, I'll miss all of you when Moddy deletes my account if Ortiz blows the, ahem, no-hitter.

Miles, Duncan and Pujols due up in the 9th.

And the Nats' radio guy (listening via Gameday Audio) is jinxing the absolute hell out of Ortiz.
