Don’t see anyone signing him, other than as a publicity stunt.

    So yeah. The Mets will.

That Palmeiro-Tebow 1-2 punch will be hard to combat in the middle of the lineup.

I believe if Bonds came back he could still put up a .400 OBP and slug .500.

I also believe Jeter will become the first owner to take the field as a player. He retired at 40, but could have kept playing.

MLB frowns on such things. Ted Turner managed one night while he owned the Braves. Commish -- Bowie Kuhn, I think -- put a stop to it.
Can't have the management/ownership mingling with the inmates to that extent.

Stop replying to him seriously (one right post about Minnie Minoso notwithstanding)!

No. Brown was huffin' because he thought Franco Harris, who had a habit of heading out of bounds instead of taking some hits, had a shot at his career rushing record, so he "threatened" to come back. He never did.

Didn't they race in prime time? And didn't Franco kick his ass? Or am I misremembering my misspent youth?

Yes, but Franco never scored a scene with Raquel Welch. Advantage, Brown.

Racquel has an odd bulge in the groin area in that photo. Was her role in Myra Breckenridge based on reality?
