    The difference between George Bush and Barack Obama: White people weren't called chimps as a racist slur.

    As for the "apology," saying a racist statement wasn't meant for those who were offended by it doesn't make it any less racist. And the fact that the person tries to make it seem like it was OK that she was a racist to her closest friends is actually kind of worrisome. I guess I can make remarks about black people so long as I'm wearing a white sheet so no one will know who I am ...

    Wait, it was better than that:
    "In no way did I even consider the fact he's half black when I sent out the email. In fact, the thought never entered my mind until one or two other people tried to make this about race. We all know a double standard applies regarding this president."

    That apology is so good, she should have tweeted it.
