    Orange County GOP official sends out a racist email of Obama with chimps. She then issues the GOP-standard apology: I'm sorry if you were offended. The email wasn't meant for you.

    So I've seen this story on every single newscast here in SoCal over the last 48 hours. Well, not that I've seen every newscast, but it's been on all the ones I've watched, and I watch a lot.

    And as much as I hate to do it, I have to give credit to the OC GOP leaders who are lining up to blast the sender, demand she resign, etc. etc. And they have all been quick to call it not just "unfortunate" or "a gaffe" but they all have called it racist.

    That really is a doozy of an apology: "Again, for those select few who might be truly offended by viewing a copy of an email I sent to a select list of friends and acquaintances, unlike the liberal left when they do the same, I offer my sincere apologies to you--the email was not meant for you."

    Not "I'm sorry for sending it," only "I'm sorry I sent it TO YOU, you big Nancypants."
