Not to be too nitpicky, because it is still 10 years ago & that was the point of the thread, but you're 6 days too late. I saw something about a week ago saying it was the 10-year anniversary. Just checked, and the date was September 7.

Didn't Biggie have some line in one of his songs about blowing up the WTC. I know he was referring to the first explosion in 1993 or 1994, but I remember hearing it and just being stunned for a few seconds before I remembered what he was referring to...

Anyone who went to the University of Maryland knows that he's working at the Cluck-U Chicken on Route 1, making wings for drunk people at 2:30 in the morning. Don't believe me? Go see for yourself.

I remember the day Biggie died. I checked my e-mail from the school newspaper to see if a friend knew the news, and he did. He wrote me a short message, "You have to feel for Faith Evans. You don't lose 500-pound men every day."

As for Tupac, I miss that guy. The venom on "Hit 'Em Up" was something else.

Actually, it's a pretty clever song. Give it a try.

    It was all a dream
I used to read Word Up magazine
Salt'n'Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine
    Hangin' pictures on my wall
Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl
I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped
Smokin' weed and bamboo, sippin' on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
    With the hat to match
    Remember Rappin' Duke, duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought that hip hop would take it this far
Now I'm in the limelight 'cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade
Born sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to Ron G, Brucey B, Kid Capri
    Funkmaster Flex, Lovebug Starsky
I'm blowin' up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number same hood
    It's all good

    -- Biggie, "Juicy"

Coincidentally enough, that album came out on Sept. 13, 1994
