I'll echo everyone on the board that this really, really, really, really sucks.

Best comedy performance I ever saw live was Jeni doing his act at a hole-in-the-wall nightclub near Qualcomm Stadium in S.D. He was absolutely on fire that night and my stomach was sore the next day from laughing so hard.

R.I.P. Hopefully in the hereafter, he won't have to listen to "Love songs, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, over and over again until you want to gouge your eardrums with a dull butter knife." (Or something to that effect).

Loved the bit he did about dating and laying all your cards out on the table.

RIP to my favorite comedian of all time.

This news has knocked me on my ass. Hard.

I remember seeing him on one of those countdown shows a year or two ago, and it was obvious he had work done. I hope he's finally found peace.

Artie Lange outlives another one. Never would have thought that. Jeni was a real funny guy.

I'll be devastated if Lange kicks... The guy has me in hysterics every morning...

I love that bit, though I'm sure it would get mixed reviews on this board.

I always thought he was the most underrated comic I knew -- tremendously funny, but not nearly as well known as many (often unfunny) others.

    This is one big bummer.

    His material wasn't bad.

    RIP.

(Pardon if this is a DB.)
