R.I.P. Reg Presley

Lead singer of the Troggs (the non-Tone Loc Wild Thing). Kept on hitting the road until about a year ago. Spent a lot of his royalty money on studying crop circles.

Wasn't Wild Thing the song Hendrix burned his guitar to at Monterey?

I hope the Troggs kept the rights to that song (if they wrote it) because "Major League" would have made them a fortune in royalties for every time some team played that song.

 

"Wild Thing" was written by American songwriter Chip Taylor, who also wrote "Angel of the Morning". (Taylor wasn't a member of the Troggs, but he is the brother of actor Jon Voight and the uncle of Angelina Jolie.)

 

I believe it was.

 

But Love Is All Around was one of his, and Wet Wet Wet's revival of it garnered him new riches.

 

Pity Wet Wet Wet never covered Hot Hot Hot.

 

Then somebody might get a Wet Willie.
