Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Evil ... Thy name is Orville Redenbacher!!, Jul 13, 2010.

  1. George Steinbrenner has died.

Google turned up heart attack and said he was rushed to a hospital .. AP ran a crawl citing sources. Big George, who just turned 80 has died.

R.I.P. to one of the alltime colorful characters of a once-great game.

Reports are it's a massive heart attack. Doesn't sound good, but also doesn't sound like he's passed on, yet.

Kinda chilling to go to Google News and see the stories about his massive heart attack atop stories that say he's "feeling good" posted three days ago.

  5. TMZ is reporting he has died. As a fan of a small market team, I resented the Yankee way, but if nothing else, he cared about the product on the field. If true, RIP.

RIP to one of the few remaining owners where the bottom line was measured in wins and not dollars.
