Somewhere, Anderson and Moose and Squirrel are re-connecting.

Very witty, those old R&B toons. Lot of Cold War satire.

Read somewhere years ago that "Rocky and Bullwinkle" was animated in Mexico, so that they could pay the animators less (like less than a dollar a day). So this guy might have been the original outsourcer.

First Soupy Sales, now this... I wonder what happened to the "Plunk your magic twanger, Froggy!" voice guy. He must be gone too.

Such a good, influential program. Yes, it could get pretty repetitive if you watched a few in a row. But truly an enduring, American classic.

There will be a moment of silence in Anderson's memory before Wassamatta U.'s Homecoming game Saturday. Gotta find my WU T-shirt for this weekend...and I'll see if I can dig up the Kirwood Derby.

  11. So many great iconic phrases in Rocky & Bullwinkle, too many to do justice to here.

But I was also a Crusader Rabbit fan. In one ep, Crusader and Rags were playing in or watching a baseball game, and when they showed up the score was already 101-2, something like that. Rags opines, "Somebody must have hit a triple."

I use that line to this day. Mostly to blank stares, but so what?
