He's in "Sweeney Todd". I saw a promo show for that on IFC last night, it looked very, very good.

And he's playing the lad in Eugene Debbs biopic.

Sasha Baron Cohen is vastly underrated in Talladega Nights. He's a great foil for Will Ferrell.

  4. Debs biopic? I haven't heard of that.

There was a rumor circulating that he was going to play Freddie Mercury in a Queen biopic. I think he'd be great in that role based off looks alone.

  7. Good decision on his part. The stuff is old now.

Of course, the upcoming Bruno trainwreck shows that SBC isn't totally divorced from the genre. He has my respek, though, for being with Isla Fisher.

He already made too much romance explosion on Pamela's stomach.

Borat is an acquired taste, the likes of which I never acquired.

Smart move and it had gotten old long ago....and yet, I can't help but smile when recollecting some of those great Borat moments.

-- the wrestling scene with the fat man that wound up in an ass munch.

-- the bag of poo at the refined dinner table

-- bragging on his sister's prostitute ranking.

-- rappin with the bros in the hood when he got lost.

    And on and on.

I can't believe it worked as long as it did. I was watching things in the movie, like him performing in front of the huge rodeo crowd or doing stuff on the streets of New York, and thinking, "None of these people have HBO? Not one of them has seen 'Da Ali G Show?'"

Also, apparently there's a Bruno movie on the horizon.
