A .288 lifetime average vs Wakefield qualifies as ownage now? Considering St. Jeter is a .313 career hitter, if anything Wakefield owned Jeter.

For the last time, Manky: Dickey does not have a scoreless innings streak going. He didn't give up any runs in three straight starts, but gave up an unearned run in his first one-hitter.

Here's his game-by-game breakdown, just for Manky:

    But with how many HRs?

OK. How many unearned runs, if any, did Hershiser allow during his streak?

This thread is kind of like the WWL claiming UConn's women broke UCLA's men's mark for consecutive wins in college hoops. Are there separate categories for earned vs. unearned runs in the record book, or is this just some figment of his imagination to get him excited when Jetes fails him?

Then comparing 'apples to apples' what is Dickey's current streak and how long was Hershiser's streak of not allowing any earned runs?

OK a non-Manky oriented question, bought up on Giants postgame TV:

If you're the NL manager in the All-Star Game (still La Russa?), who's your starer, Dickey or Cain? If both clubs' rotations stay the same, they'll be eligible to pitch.

Dickey. His ERA is significantly lower, 2.00 to 2.32. I know. Silly me, judging pitchers based on how many runs they give up.
